ZDay

ZDay, also known as ZDAY Survival Simulator, is a text adventure game set in a suburban area after a zombie virus outbreak. Players advance the story by choosing text options, searching locations such as Dave's house and the police station for food, drinking water and weapons, and recruiting companions to form an exploration team. Four starting locations—residence, police station, checkpoint and building—lead to different story paths. A survival engine tracks each choice and calculates survival odds, producing multiple endings including successful survival, death and capture. Random scene generation adds replay value, while weapon and item differences affect survival chances. A final score and strategy feedback round out the experience, all presented in a black, white and red American hand-drawn comic style.
